What can I say about this epic Adelaide wedding, that Karen and I had the pleasure of photographing earlier this year?
Annalisa and Francesco’s wedding day was lively, fun and beautiful. Karen popped in to photograph the guys preparing for the wedding, and says that the warmth from the family, and the fun that was had that morning, was absolutely incredible. That, and she was treated to awesome coffee (thanks for looking after her, guys!). The groom and his groomsmen wore simple, classic suits. They looked stylish and smart, and teamed perfectly with the cool Alfa Romeo cars that delivered them to the church!
Over with the girls, we started out at Sueno Hair where all the pampering was happening and then over to her parents place to get ready. I had such a beautiful morning. Annalisa is one of the sweetest people on the planet, and she looked so classically beautiful in her gown. Every detail had been thought of and the flowers were amazing… and those dresses! Something completely different for these girls, a patterned gown in beautiful flowing silk fabric.
Married at the Sacred Hear College Chapel, Annalisa and Francesco’s ceremony was so lovely. From here, we travelled to Rymill Park for family portraits and then over to Caparezzo in the city – a quaint but super stylish little coffee place nestled in a side street just off Rundle Mall. The bride and groom opted for a tiny break here, enjoying delicious treats and drinks before having some fun portraits with the cars in the lane way.
The reception was held at the National Wine Centre. We wandered through the gardens for some more portraits, and the Botanic Gardens too, before preparing for what should be known as ‘The Entrance’ from here on. You see, Annalisa and Francesco had this idea to blow everyone away with how they entered their reception, after a lot of planning and organising, they entered their reception on a Lambretta!! It was borrowed from a friend and after their entrance, was then used in their photo booth set up!!!!
Annalisa and Francesco own Cotto Espresso bars around Adelaide and this was an important part of their reception, they had an amazing Barista fly down from Sydney to brew up hot coffees all night long for the guests! Coffee is their ‘thing’ so to incorporate it in their celebrations was a great idea and something the guests absolutely loved!!
The celebrations for this couple were heartfelt and so much fun. The dance floor was pumping for hours thanks to The Cast (check them out!), and even Francesco took the mic for some impromptu partying! It was so much fun, and we had a great time documenting it for them and their guests.
This was an epic day, Karen and I photographed for 16 hours so you can imagine all the images we had to work with, so many beautiful moments from the start of their day until the very end!!
I hope you enjoy this beautiful wedding – I know we thoroughly enjoyed photographing it!!
